Visit the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the 9/11 Memorial
Visiting Liberty Island is one of the most rewarding experiences of any trip to New York City.
Ask yourself: How far would you go to find a better life? What would you sacrifice to provide for your family?
If your answer is whatever it takes, then you share the spirit of the 12 million immigrants who once passed through the quiet halls of Ellis Island from 1892 to 1954. For them, this island represented hope, opportunity, and a fresh start in a new world a chance to pursue the American dream for themselves and future generations.
Your ferry ticket includes access to both the Ellis Island Immigration Museum and the Statue of Liberty Museum, with self-guided audio tours available at each site. Please note: Pedestal and Crown access is not included in this tour. These tickets must be reserved separately through the National Park Service. Same-day pedestal reservations may be available at Statue City Cruises ticket offices, but availability is extremely limited. Pedestal access cannot be obtained on Liberty Island, and Crown access requires advance reservations due to high demand and strict capacity limits.
After visiting Liberty and Ellis Islands, your journey continues at one of the most profound and moving sites in the city: the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
Located at the World Trade Center site, the Memorial honors the nearly 3,000 victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and the six individuals killed in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. The Memorials twin reflecting pools sit within the footprints of the original Twin Towers. Each pool is nearly an acre in size and features the names of every victim etched into bronze panels a powerful tribute to those lost.
The 9/11 Museum, located beneath the Memorial, offers an immersive and deeply emotional experience. Through multimedia exhibits, archival footage, artifacts, and personal stories, the Museum documents the events of 9/11, the immediate aftermath, the heroism of first responders, and the enduring impact on the United States and the world. Special exhibitions explore themes of resilience, remembrance, and the ongoing global consequences of terrorism and recovery.
This portion of the tour provides a solemn, respectful space for reflection and understanding a critical chapter in both New York Citys and America's history.
After the 9/11 tour, youll have approximately 2 to 3 hours of free time in New York City to explore on your own, grab a bite to eat, or visit other nearby landmarks.
