Welcome to the sandy shores of CAPE COD. Extending some 70 miles into the sea, the Cape is home to both natural beauty and quaint colonial villages. You can stroll pristine beaches, revel in the arts and culture, and reclaim childhood memories of seashells, sandcastles, and

saltwater taffy. Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at the FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES CAPE COD and will assist with check-in.



LOBSTER DINNER is included this evening.

Alternate entrées will be available for any “landlubbers” not wishing to eat shellfish.

Monday - 09/13/27

8:30 AM Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at your hotel for a full day of touring. You will travel historic ROUTE 6A, the Old King’s Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. View a Windmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse and visit the CAPE COD NATIONAL SEASHORE VISITOR’S CENTER. Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach “Land’s End” – PROVINCETOWN. You are now at the extreme tip of Cape Cod. Formerly known as the “Province Lands” the pilgrims landed here first before they decided to settle across the Bay in Plymouth. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artists/fishermen village so unique.



2:00 PM Board an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of WHALE WATCHING. (3 hours) You will travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the Atlantic, and fish which use these shallow waters to feed. Try to spot Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales going about their daily business. An onboard naturalist will introduce you to everything you see and will answer any of your questions about whales, birds, fish, and lighthouses.

OR YOU MAY CHOOSE TO STAY ON DRY LAND:

Admission is included on a one-hour DUNE TOUR. Ride along the shoreline of the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Your guide will point out the “dune shacks” where famous artists and writers became inspired to create their art.

Tuesday - 09/14/27

8:45 AM Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at your hotel and you will travel to WOODS HOLE.

Based here is the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), a private, non-profit research facility dedicated to the study of Marine science and the education of marine scientists. It is the largest independent oceanographic institution in the world. It was WHOI’s research vessel, the Knorr, that found the HMS Titanic, off the coast of Newfoundland in 1985.

Check in for ticketing and boarding of passengers and coach on the 10:45 am STEAMSHIP AUTHORITY ferry to the island of MARTHA’S VINEYARD. Upon arrival at 11:30 am your guide will conduct a “DOWN ISLAND” TOUR. You will learn about the history and lifestyles of the islanders as you pass through the picturesque villages. There will be free time for lunch in the historic whaling town of Edgartown. Complete your day on the island in Oak Bluffs strolling through “Cottage City” with its brightly painted cottages and decorative “gingerbread” trim. Depart the island at 5:00 pm.



DINNER is included this evening back on the mainland.

Wednesday - 09/15/27

8:30 AM Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at your hotel and you will travel to America’s Hometown – PLYMOUTH. Home of our Pilgrim Fathers and one of the country’s first settlements, it is well known in the United States for its historical value. A picture stop will be made at the Forefather’s Monument, the largest, solid granite monument in the United States. She stands facing the harbor, welcoming those who come by water. A picture stop will also be made at Plymouth Rock, the traditional site of disembarkation of the Pilgrims in 1620. View the newly restored Mayflower II, a reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the New World.



11:00 AM Board the Pilgrim Belle, a traditional paddlewheel boat, for a PLYMOUTH HARBOR CRUISE. This 75-minute, narrated cruise includes views of the Mayflower II, Bug Light, the Gurnet, and Clark’s Island.



There will be free time for lunch and shopping on your own on the waterfront.



Back on the Mid-Cape your guide will conduct a tour of HYANNIS including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannisport and a view of St. Francis Xavier Church, the summer parish of the Kennedy Family.
