Andy Griffith Show.” He shares back stories, production techniques, and details that shine a new light on a classic episode. Neal Brower has

taught classes on “The Andy Griffith Show” at community colleges across North Carolina. He is the author of Mayberry 101: Behind the

Scenes of a TV Classic. 

 

Day 2 Saturday, July 11

Squad Car Tour of Mayberry

Today’s visit to “Mayberry” also includes a tour in a Squad Car. Where else can you ride in Barney’s car except Mayberry? Cruise on over

to Andy’s Homeplace then ride in Mayberry style down Main Street past Floyd’s Barber Shop and Snappy Lunch. You’ll cruise by other

Mayberry attractions like The Andy Griffith Playhouse, The Old Jail and the Visitors Center – Home of the Andy Griffith Museum. While at

Wally’s don’t miss the best photo opportunity of the day – your photo in front of the Squad Car, a photo that says Mayberry like nowhere

else.

Lunch at Snappy's Diner

While Snappy's is well-known for its delicious food, they are also just as famous for providing friendly hospitality to everyone who comes

through their doors. Stop by and have lunch and get a glimpse of yesteryear.

Andy Griffith Museum & Playhouse Tour

Visit the Andy Griffith Museum. Start with a guided Behind the Scenes tour beginning in the Playhouse and ending where Andy first

performed on stage at his high school.

Then you will have time to visit the museum's collections featuring hundreds of items from the life and career of Andy Griffith in movies,

television and music as well as a variety of memorabilia. There are even actual props from The Andy Griffith Show

 

Day 3 Sunday, July 12

Depart for Home

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and travel home. meal on own stop en route
