Ride the Red Trolley! Established in 1982, this is Salems original trolley. Enjoy Tales & Tombstones,
a one-hour narrated historical tour. Visit scenes of grisly murders and
ghastly executions; hear tales of ghosts, Salems haunted hotels and
restaurants, long-forgotten underground passageways, ancient curses, and
legends of ghost ships and haunted islands.
Arrive at Gallows Hill and immerse yourself in a thrilling theatrical experience that
explores the Salem Witchcraft hysteria, witch mythology and legend, and
tales of ghosts from Salem and the surrounding area. This live Witchcraft & Ghost Experience
is guaranteed to be the most exciting event that your group will see in
Salem, Massachusetts! This unique attraction combines history and lore
with interactive excitement and great effects.
Visit The Salem Wax Museum and Salem Witch Village
which host the epicenter of Halloween in Salem: "The Haunted Neighborhood." During
Salem's October celebration "Haunted Happenings", the street is
transformed into the "Haunted Neighborhood" with six of the cities best
and longest running attractions, including haunted houses and walking
tours. Located on a dead-end street across from the Peabody Essex Museum
and adjacent to the Tricentennial Witch Trials Memorial and The Charter
Street Old Burying Point reputed to be the 2nd oldest burial ground
in the country - each attraction boasts gift shops with maritime gifts,
confectioneries, books, T-shirts, and Pagan & Wiccan supplies.

Day 3 -
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
Take a guided tour of Hammond Castle Museum. Experienced
tour guides will provide a contextualized history of both the Hammonds
and the various artifacts located throughout the castle. Your guide will
talk with you for about half and hour and then you will be free to
explore on your own.
Enjoy lunch on your own and free time at Gloucester HarborWalk. As
you walk from post to post you can extend your experience with special
exhibits, events, public art, gardens, scenic views and multi-media
content available via your mobile phone.
Arrive at Real Pirates Salem, Forten Park. See
the worlds only fully authenticated pirate treasure ever discovered
including coins, jewelry, and weapons retrieved from the wreck, and
last touched by the hands of pirates more than 300 years ago. Explore
the Discovery Lab where you can dive into the preservation process of
these artifacts, become a Real Pirate through a complimentary photo
experience, follow the journey with an audio tour narrated by famed
underwater archaeological explorer Barry Clifford, and visit the gift
shop for a memorable keepsake.
Visit Peabody Essex Museum. This Halloween
season, step inside the only museum in Salem with authentic documents
and objects from the infamous 1692 witch trials and visit Ropes Mansion,
the historic home that made its appearance in the iconic movie Hocus Pocus.

museum and around Salem and enjoy a seasonal Halloween pop-up shop,
special curator-led talks, horror movie screenings, and more.

Visit the Salem Witch Museum. Follow the history
of witches, witchcraft, and witch hunts through the ages. Our main
presentation takes you back to the events of the Salem Witch Trials of
1692. After a historically accurate look at the Salem Witch Trials in
our main exhibit, visitors are invited to challenge their beliefs about
the word witch. WITCHES: Evolving Perceptions traces the evolution
of the stereotypical witch and presents the beliefs of wicca as they are
practiced today. How does a witch-hunt start? An analysis of the
components allows visitors to see for themselves how fear can lead to
scapegoating. Examples of modern witch-hunts make WITCHES a
thought-provoking conclusion to a visit to the Salem Witch Museum.
Enjoy free time and lunch on your own on Pickering Wharf/Derby Street and/or Essex Street. Pickering Wharf has food, shops, spirits, at the top of the gangways.
Visit The House of the Seven Gables. When you arrive at The House of the Seven Gables
- which constitutes its own national historic district on The National
Register of Historic places - costumed interpreters will warmly greet
you for an unforgettable historical experience. Outside, spectacular
seaside gardens await you. Inside of The House of the Seven Gables, also
known as the Turner-Ingersoll Mansion, you will discover a mysterious
secret staircase where you least expect it! Built in 1668, this is the
oldest surviving 17th century wooden mansion in New England. The House
of the Seven Gables inspired author Nathaniel Hawthorne to write his
legendary novel of the same name.
